Here are a few troubleshooting steps that seem to be the most common when people are encountering problems.
Test the Sync Cable *MOST COMMON ISSUE*:
Try plugging the controller straight to the console (excluding the K2) and see if the controller turns on by itself OR if you are needing to press the home button to power it on.
*If turns on by itself without pressing the home button, it is a working sync cable.
**If it does not turn on by itself, it is failing to sync the controller which is why it wouldn't work on the Keymander via the USB-C cable.
***Charging the controller doesn't always mean it's syncing it via the USB cable.
If that is the case, try seeing if you have another USB-C cable that can turn your controller on by itself when directly connected to the console. Otherwise, you will need to purchase a "Charge and Sync" cable.
Testing Keyboard and Mouse Compatibility
For Keyboard Testing:
With ONLY the console, controller and mouse connected (No keyboard):
- Check to see if the K2 app registers Left/Right Click when trying to map to a button.
Edit Profile > Mapping > {Select any button} > Primary Key (wait for it to say listening) > {Mouse click}
*If mouse key is not registered, this usually means that the mouse in incompatible.
For Mouse Testing:
With ONLY the console, controller and keyboard connected (No mouse):
- Check to see if the K2 app registers keys when trying to map to a button.
Edit Profile > Mapping > {Select any button} > Primary Key (wait for it to say listening) > {Any Key}
*If key stroke is not registered, this means usually that the keyboard in incompatible.
** If you notice that when you connect one of them, the K2 shuts off or reboots, it's a sign of incompatibility.
Try testing with a different mouse or keyboard if that is the case and you suspect one is incompatible.
Note: Must be an original wireless Xbox/PlayStation controller. Aftermarket controllers as not supported. Wired controllers are not supported.
