Are the new Xbox controllers with usb to type c controllers compatible with the KEYMANDER 2

The new controllers are compatible with the K2. However, you are still required to have a charge and sync cable.
If you power off your controller (remove batteries) and connect the USB-C directly to your Xbox, does the controller power on by itself OR does it require you to press the home button?
A charge and sync cable will power on the controller by itself.
