"Launch key used in Mode"? Can anyone explain?

I'm trying to set up a Steelseries Rival 5, but when I try to assign a button to the RC position I get the message "Launch key used in Mode" and it won't let me. Any way to fix this? I've got no idea what 'mode' or 'launch key' is exactly.
