Controller not turning on

We need to know some basics, like what console, which model controller, what keyboard and mouse, and if you are using an external power supply connected to the K2 power port.

Everyone is having this problem after the new controller update

We have seen now three Xbox One 1708 white controllers for Xbox One S that all stopped passing USB data sometime after a Microsoft firmware update. This is not related to K2, however it does prevent the controller from working with the K2 because it no longer passes the USB data. We have not seen the problem yet with any black 1708 model controllers, nor any other model Xbox One or Series X controllers.

The easy way to tell if you controller will have a problem is to take out the batteries, connect it directly to the Xbox One with the micro USB cable and do not press any buttons. If the controller vibrates and powers on by itself, it will be fine. If however the controller vibrates but never turns on until you press the Xbox button, then the controller will only work in Bluetooth mode and will not pass USB data.
